The E2 meat container is the standard load carrier for the meat- and sausage-processing industry as well as the retail sector. For secure handling, the containers comply with DIN 55 423 and the strict requirements of the EHI Retail Institute. The E2 containers that are currently exchanged were modified for seamless handling in automated systems, e.g. on conveyor belts. Perforation and open handles allow air to circulate freely in the E2 meat container. The edges of the red container are self-centring, which ensures that excess liquid runs out of the container.
